Dr. Theresa Worsham DMD,MS

Dr. Theresa Worsham was born and raised in Missouri, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her Doctorate from ATSU Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. While in dental school she did TMJ disorder research within the scope of dental ultrasonography and implant review research. Dr. Worsham provided dental care to the underserved in St. Louis area through organizations such as Continental Societies Inc. and Colgate Bright Smiles, Denistry in the Community, and Give Kids a Smile during her dental School Experience.

She completed her periodontal residency training at Baylor/Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She was selected to serve as Chief Resident during her last year of residency. During her residency, she taught dental students and residents in addition to practicing at Texas A&M Dental School and Children’s Hospital Dallas. While in residency, she completed a Masters of Science in Oral Biology and did research with amelogenin peptides. Her research consisted of identifying and isolating a pathway by which certain biological agents improve and accelerate healing of periodontal and implant sites. During her last year, she presented a poster and abstract at the American Academy of Periodontology at their annual meeting.

She is Diplomate-track for the American Academy of Periodontology in Periodontics and Implant Surgery.

Dr. Worsham is honored to serve the Sacramento, Folsom and Roseville community. She enjoys all aspects of periodontics from oral health education to hard and soft tissue grafting and implant surgery.
